This page sets out the timetable and procedures the examination boards and Greene’s follow in relation to the publication of your examination results. Whether you are a private (external) or internal candidate, you should be prepared to act quickly once the examination results have been published, as there are deadlines which may affect you.
For reasons of data protection, the examination boards only release to schools and colleges the results taken by their own candidates. So, on joining Greene’s, it is therefore essential that students provide us with as much documentation as possible concerning their previous examination results.
On results days, our examination candidates’ results are released through their Greene’s Online profiles. They will become visible at 6.00 a.m. on students’ examination tabs. During the day, an automated e-mail will also be sent out confirming results. For a calendar of results days in 2014-2015, please see below.
The examination boards no longer produce formal, water-crested results documentation. Instead, they provide schools and colleges with electronic copies of statements of results. These can be e-mailed out on request.
Certificates are only awarded to those students who have cashed in their A levels or their GCSEs, or who have taken IGCSEs. They are sent to Greene’s two months after the release of results.
Students will need either to come in to Greene’s to collect their certificates in person, bringing ID, or to provide a stamped, addressed envelope (A4 size) so we can post them out. Please note that Greene’s does not undertake to post a student’s certificate unless he or she has already supplied an A4 envelope with the correct postage and address.

After you have seen your results, you can request to have your examination script re-marked or to receive a copy of your script. To do so, you should complete the post-results services Word document which will be attached to your automated results e-mail. Our fees for these services are given on the examination fees page.
Please bear in mind that the examination boards impose very strict deadlines for requesting these services. Please also be aware that re-marks can lead to a result going down as well as up, and that the vast majority of re-marks produce no change or an insignificant alteration in the original result.
